CM Communications provided PR counsel to The Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) surrounding the repositioning of this iconic Washington, D.C. neighborhood‘s brand. The campaign’s focal point was the re-launch of the Georgetown BID’s website,, featuring a user-friendly online concierge service, video vignettes depicting the “Georgetown Life” experience, an ultra-luxe weekend getaway sweepstakes, and signature hotel packages.  PR efforts included enlisting the support and participation of area businesses and merchants, as Georgetown hosted media familiarization tours showcasing the neighborhoods’ rich history while highlighting the essence of Georgetown life today – a unique mix of fashion-forward shops, high-end home décor, and world-class dining and entertainment.  During year one, the public relations effort proved potent as merchants credited earned media generated for increasing annual sales revenue for the neighborhood’s annual French Market retail event.
