Can you take a tired motel, formerly a Holiday Inn, and turn it into a retro-chic destination for both families and hipsters? Absolutely. Working in a full-service marketing capacity, CM Communications was behind the successful renaming and brand repositioning of what was once one of Provincetown’s most rundown hotels. The agency’s role was critical and all-inclusive, ranging from creating a new brand identity, tagline, website, advertisements and collateral materials to managing community relations and media relations. Shortly after a highly successful grand opening party and PR campaign, the newly renovated hotel was named the “Best Boutique Hotel on the Cape” by Boston Magazine, and featured in Daily Candy, Boston Sprit Magazine, Boston Globe, Travel & Leisure, and other highly influential regional and national press. Almost three years later, Harbor Hotel Provincetown continues to grow year-round occupancy and has exceeded the expectations of its owner/management team.
